GDPR Statement

Dear Customer,

Eduspot serves over 9,000 schools worldwide with our innovative solutions, including Teachers2Parents, our market leading Text and Email service, ParentsEvening, SchoolMoney, BehaviourWatch, SchoolPod and SchoolsWire; all supporting schools to achieve the best possible parental engagement.

Eduspot is committed to be compliant with GDPR coming into effect on 25 May 2018. We pride ourselves in our dedication to working competently within the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 regulations; GDPR builds upon these same principles.

As part of our allegiance in becoming GDPR compliant, we have been diligently reviewing, building upon and implementing streamlined processes, developments and systems, as is required by all parties who control and process personal data.

We openly share Eduspot’s continued work and commitment to this new regulation and our support to our dedicated customers and their requirements in being fully GDPR compliant prior to its effective date. Some of these key workflows are:

  • Internal training of staff on GDPR and handling of personal data
  • Continual support and bolstering of our user access controls for all of our systems
  • An audit of data held or processed, with concurrent attentive review and updates to policies and process documentation
  • Identification and implementation of more powerful tools, enabling more effective communication with schools about future changes
  • Pursuance of Google Authenticator implementation to support our Management Information Systems, SchoolPod and BehaviourWatch, further enhancing security
  • Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) process for our third parties
  • The continued roll-out and on-boarding of leading MIS integration partners, Wonde, who continue to support schools and businesses with their GDPR compliance

We continue to support schools with top-level encryption, state of the art servers, market-leading partners and tier one providers.

Prior to the GDPR staging date, we will be sharing our refined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), data deletion processes and information on how schools can better control their data.
